"Diabetes success begins in the mind not on your plate." One of the reasons so many people are unable to improve their diabetes management is because they start from what's on their plate rather than what's going on in their mind.
Sabotage? WHAT? Yeap! That’s right! It’s time to have a tough conversation. I’ve been sabotaging my weight loss efforts for YEARS! However, it wasn’t until now that I have decided to name what I was doing. I finally had to call a “spade a SPADE” and a “thing a THING” (in my Iyanla Vazant voice 😊)
Hello friend! How are you? I hope you are feeling good and showing up and putting diabetes in its place every day.
You know I’m nosey and need to be all in your business. So, go ahead and let me know what you’ve done well at over the last week.
I know this is not a fun topic to discuss. My diabetes butt kickers often have many reasons why they don’t test. This is why I take every opportunity to remind you to “Be well & Test often!” It is intentional.
Many of the vitamins like Vitamin B complex, Thiamine or Vitamin B1 and Pyridoxine or Vitamin B6 are a great controller of diabetes. Other vitamins like vitamin C and vitamin E also works great in controlling diabetes. Have a look at the benefits how they can help you control your diabetes.
Today I want to encourage you to make “Better Bad Decisions.”
I know that sounds crazy, right? Why would anyone want to make a bad decision let alone a better bad one? A better bad decision is simply making the best choice from a list of not so great options.
Unfortunately, many people don’t understand diabetes, but you will after you see this.
There comes a time in your diabetes management when you will have to commit or die? Which one are you willing to do?
Everyone and I mean everyone, (friends, family, other diabetics, doctors and nurses) really just all kinds of people keep telling me that the secret to kicking diabetes in the butt is all about diet.
What if you didn’t have to do anything? Ooh wait, let me be more clear. What if you didn't have to do anything because you no longer have diabetes?
Do you believe you can really turn it ALL around? I DO! I think the more important question is HOW can it all be turned around when so many people struggling with diabetes know so little about how to manage it in the first place?
Where were you when the bomb dropped?
You know, the “You have Diabetes” bomb!” What year was it? What was your life like at that time? Has your life changed a little, a lot or not at all?
I never would’ve guessed diabetes would crash our party by way of my son’s failed pancreas
