Everyone and I mean everyone, (friends, family, other diabetics, doctors and nurses) really just all kinds of people keep telling me that the secret to kicking diabetes in the butt is all about diet.
I decided to listen to them and offer some information on different plans in my weekly newsletter. I wanted to help everyone see there is more than one way to achieve a goal AND that they could create a plan that's all about them.
However, I have a confession! I do not agree with them. I think this is TOTAL crap!
>>>Sidebar: I am sorry for the caps but I come from a big family, so I talk loudly. I'm expressive and very passionate about my beliefs. Besides the fact that you are not here for me to be all excited with, so I have to put special words in caps to help emphasize what is oozing from my pores. I know you are super smart because you're here (heck yeah), so I know, you know, why people use caps. However, I need you to know that I am not yelling at you but I am SPEAKING VERY LOUDLY! :-) LOLOLOL (laughing out loud)! Back to your regularly scheduled programming.......
I do not agree that the SECRET to kicking diabetes in the butt has anything to do with diet. I don't think you agree either.
How I know this?
I think my first email of the series was "cool", the second was "alright" but by the third one they were like "let me just skim this and see if there is anything I've never heard of" and quickly exited. Now that's if it was opened at all (gasp, Lol)! No need to be ashamed (or "shame" as we say in my family).
Let's tell the truth and shame the devil (love this phrase).
What I've described happened to a couple people I'm sure? No worries and I am not hurt, because it confirmed what I already knew.
Will you have to change your diet in order to cure/reverse/better manage your diabetes? Absolutely! However you can't and you won't until you make a choice.
Reversing (for some) and better managing (for others) diabetes aka KICKING DIABETES TO THE CURB is truly all about a choice.
Yep, that's right! Making the decision to stop accepting the diabetes status quo. The diabetes status quo is the belief that "Everything isn't perfect but it's alright"!
Until you take that one step and decide that enough is enough NO DIET WILL SUCCEED!
Would you mind doing me a favor? Close your eyes, take a deep breath and let it out. Ask yourself this question: "Am I ready to choose life?"
