Can You REALLY Turn It All Around?

Do you believe it?

Do you believe you can really turn it ALL around?

I think the more important question is HOW can it all be turned around when so many people struggling with diabetes know so little about how to manage it in the first place?

Is that even a true statement? Do type 2 diabetics really know what they need to know but don’t want to do the work? Are they lazy? Do they just want to eat their junk food and die?

That is what A LOT of people are telling me.

I am being told that, “Diabetics don’t want help”, “Diabetics don’t really want to do better, if they did they wouldn’t have gotten themselves into this mess in the first place.” “Diabetics won’t ask for help”, “Why are you trying to help a group of people who won’t even pay for your services?” “They don’t want you and they don’t want what you are offering!”

WHEW! That’s a lot, right?

A lot of NEGATIVITY! From a lot of people who claim to love you, who claim to want to help you, who claim they’ll do anything for you. I’ve heard this from relatives, friends, medical professionals, and other coaches who claim to want to help people “change their lives.”

The thing about me is…I’M NOT BUYING IT!

I BELIVE you want a better LIFE!

I BELIEVE you want to avoid dialysis, amputations, blindness, heart attack and strokes.

I BELIEVE you want to live to see your children grow up, graduate from high schools, college and graduate school, get married and start their own families.

I BELIVE you want to enjoy ALL this life has to offer.

I BELIEVE we all fell for the joke.

The big joke that pharmaceutical companies were going to solve this problem. The joke that our lives actually meant something. However, the only thing they have done is line their own pockets while they push life sustaining treatments out of reach.

According to the diabetics I have spoken to, they need more information. They want more support and they need more encouragement to PUSH THROUGH these very challenging diabetes days.

I am not claiming to have conducted a long exhaustive study to detail and document how much diabetics know. If I only talk to 5, 10, 20 or 100 people struggling with diabetes, then this message is worth sharing. It’s worth taking the time to save 5, 10, 20 or 100 lives. If someone could save my child’s life I WOULD TAKE IT! So, I feel there is value in saving as few as one or as many as thousands of diabetics who need help.

Friend, you CAN turn this around!

Be well & test often,
